A Message from Bank President Timothy Geithner

This is an institution with important public responsibilities that we have a duty to execute to the highest possible standards. Creating and sustaining a diverse workplace—one where we as an institution can benefit from the broadest possible talent base—is essential in order to attract and retain the high caliber workforce that we need to maintain our standards of excellence. This is an objective to which I personally am strongly committed.

A working environment in which everyone is engaged, everyone is respected, and everyone is rewarded based strictly on merit is also an environment that encourages high standards and nourishes talent. I and the rest of the Bank’s senior management team want every member of our staff to take pride in what they do and in the institution for which they work—and we believe this means embracing diversity and creating a strong culture of inclusion.
