How Will the Federal Reserve Contact Us During a Contingency Situation?
EROC and/or Utica customers may be contacted via a bank circular, Fedwire® broadcast, e-mail, telephone and/or website postings. Contingency messages would include a notice of the service disruption and possibly a request to take certain actions to assist the affected office during the period of the service disruption. The circular will also put institutions on notice if the disruption may result in delays in the presentment of cash items, in the return of unpaid items, and/or in the forwarding of advices of nonpayment.
